The Association of Ghana Industries, Tullow Oil Ghana Limited and Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) organize the Exhibition/Conference under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Trade and Industry.
The AGI is the main Industrial Business Association in Ghana, and most of the Industrial companies in Ghana are members of the Association. It was therefore considered an important partner, and indeed the right organizations to spearhead the organization of this event.
The AGI has been successful over the years in promoting “Made in Ghana” products and services within Ghana, West Africa and beyond through trade fairs and trade missions and has particular interest in promoting local content in the oil and gas industry for the benefit of Ghanaian companies.
With this rich background in organizing exhibitions and conference/trade missions with strong collaboration from the Ministry of Energy, GNPC and Tullow Oil Ghana, all collaborators and potential participants are guaranteed a very successful event.
As the sector Ministry responsible for the Oil and Gas industry in Ghana, the Ministry of Energy has been instrumental in the development of the Local Content policy, and this programme is part of the Ministry’s activities to support the implementation of the local content policy.
The Ministry Trade and Industry (MOTI) has particular interest in this programme in view of the impact that effective implementation of the law will have on the industrial sector of Ghana. For this reason, MOTI has put the AGI local content event firmly on its annual calendar.
The Ministry has been supportive of all the previous events with the Minister herself participating in all the opening ceremonies of the first two events and giving a clear indication of participating in the upcoming one as well.
